Das was accused by some local women of Sandeshkhali for asking them to file fake rape complaints against TMC leaders.

On the request of Advocate General Kishore Dutta, who appeared for the West Bengal government, the court has adjourned the matter till Friday.

TMC legislator Sukumar Mahata was allegedly heckled by local women for spreading “misinformation” over complaints of sexual abuse, lodged by women in the area.

Justice Jay Sengupta said the petition by Koyal will be taken up for hearing on Tuesday.

"I feel there is a need to take a team from Sandeshkhali on our behalf and apprise the President of what had happened actually on the ground. We will seek the go-ahead from our top leadership for this", she said. 

The ruling Trinamool Congress in West Bengal had earlier this week shared a video of an alleged sting operation featuring Koyal, BJP's Sandeshkhali leader.
