In Q1, India witnessed an 8% surge in smartphone shipments, with 18% growth in value, while 5G smartphone shipments reached a record-high 71% share in volume, as reported by Counterpoint Research.

The tech giant is extending a complimentary screen replacement service for eligible users encountering this display anomaly.

Market researcher TraQline reported Samsung's significant 21 percent share of the home appliances market in 2023, closely followed by LG Electronics at 19 %, General Electric at 18 %, and Whirlpool at 15%.

While Samsung did not provide detailed insights into the factors driving this remarkable performance, the significant upturn is anticipated to be primarily fueled by a resurgence in demand for its consumer devices and memory chips.

The rollable display, reminiscent of smartphone screens, offers users the ability to consume various forms of content seamlessly. From streaming videos on YouTube to enjoying music, the AI speaker doubles up as a miniature entertainment hub. Additionally, users can mirror their smartphone screens onto the speaker, expanding its functionality even further.

"We will start manufacturing laptops this year at the Noida factory. Preparations are already underway," Roh stated, underlining the company's commitment to expanding its manufacturing footprint in India.
