Resident doctors from various hospitals, including All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Safdarjung Hospital, and others, will provide elective services in approximately 36 specialties.

The Assam unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) organised a candlelight procession near their Guwahati office, where participants displayed placards and chanted slogans seeking justice for the young doctor and her family. 

Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh led the charge by visiting Rajindra Hospital in Patiala, where he met with doctors and medical students. 

Kolkata Police have clamped Section 163(2) of BNSS around the hospital centre of agitation, following the rape and murder of a woman doctor.

Key measures include the establishment of designated retiring rooms and CCTV-monitored 'safe zones' within hospitals and medical colleges.
