India’s target of 500 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy capacity by 2030 will require $190 billion-$215 billion of investment over the next seven years, a Moody’s report said on Wednesday, adding that solid growth in India’s renewable energy capacity will continue.

Adani aspires to be the world's largest renewable energy producer by 2030 while Reliance is building four gigafactories at Jamnagar in Gujarat -- one each for solar panels, batteries, green hydrogen, and fuel cells.

Allgood highlighted that as more nations consider imposing carbon taxes, the adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies can aid in mitigating emissions and enhancing environmental stewardship.

"Reliance Power signs sale agreement with JSW Renewable Energy for the sale of its 45 MW wind power project in Vashpet, Maharashtra, for a consideration of Rs 132 crores," it added.

According to the company's statement, the 300 MW wind project is expected to generate approximately 1,091 million electricity units annually, contributing significantly to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions. AGEL estimates that the project will help avoid approximately 0.8 million tons of CO2 emissions annually, underlining its commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

The primary aim is to enhance energy efficiency in the household sector of Bhutan by promoting the star labeling program developed by India's Bureau of Energy Efficiency. India aims to support Bhutan in developing and implementing a Standards and Labeling scheme for energy-efficient products.
