The Health and Family Welfare Department has set up a three-member inquiry committee to probe into the allegations against the resident doctor.

"If the victim girl or her mother gives consent for termination of pregnancy through a medical procedure, respondent No.4 - the Superintendent, Gandhi Hospital, Hyderabad, shall forthwith admit the victim girl, conduct medical examination and by taking all necessary precautions, terminate pregnancy of victim girl medically or through surgical procedure as may be required, within 48 hours," Justice B Vijaysen Reddy said in his orders. 

The girl was allegedly raped by the accused boy in a classroom. Four men recorded the incident and blackmailed the victim's family, demanding Rs 2 lakh.

According to the prosecution, the girl was staying with her father after the mother abandoned them. Between March 1, 2021, and August 21, 2022, the accused repeatedly subjected her to sexual assault.

Two individuals, originally from Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand, were arrested in connection with the heinous crime, according to police sources.

Sources revealed that following the incident, the distressed child told her parents how the teacher's brother had assaulted her in the absence of his sibling and also threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone about the incident.

The alleged perpetrator, Mukul Kumar, a 19-year-old man accused of raping the government employee's teenage daughter, remains at large, while the daughter is missing.

A 24-year-old woman admitted to the ICU of a private hospital was allegedly raped by a nursing assistant in Rajasthan's Alwar district on Tuesday, police said.

The main accused Yadav was caught on Monday after his leg got amputated after being hit by a train in Jaipur, DGP U R Sahoo said.

Idukki Fast Track Special Court judge TG Varghese handed down varying sentences to the man under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for a total of 45 years, Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) Shijo Mon Joseph said.

"If you take it from outside and, of course, it's a challenging situation but at the same time, you've got a level of professionalism, and then from a start point of view we have to have our plans in place," said Fulton during a pre-event press conference.

Two individuals have been apprehended, and the search is underway for two others. The girl underwent a medical examination at a local hospital. ASP Vardhman stated, "The family was unfamiliar with the accused, having migrated to the city in search of employment. The perpetrators were lurking in the area with criminal intent."
