India has ambitious goals to be a leader in the global IT hardware sector. Minister of Electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar has confirmed two projects to set up semicondductor fabs in India. The full-fledged manufacturing units will be supported by facilities for assembly and packaging.

"The telecom sector had some of the biggest scams. So, there is also a healthy dose of cynicism and skepticism when the Government talks about regulation because there is a feeling that regulation is either pushing for a particular agenda or pushing forward the need for the Government or a politician to control. But our approach to creating a framework of regulation has been open, transparent, and consultative," said Chandrashekhar.

With more than 1000 prominent attendees and over 30 innovative exhibitions, the Future Skills Summit promises to be a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration.
