"Parampal Kaur ji's resignation as IAS officer has not been accepted by the Punjab government...Biba ji (Sidhu) was in such a hurry to become an IAS... but there was some procedure to leave. Please understand the procedure for resigning. Otherwise, your entire earnings may be at risk," the Punjab chief minister said in a post on X. 

The chief minister sought permission regarding the same from the Tihar jail, just a few days ago. 

"Punjab does not need such anti-Punjab governments who take their orders from Delhi," he added. 

The unions highlighted that they will burn effigies of both the central and Punjab government over the issue on April 7.

MLA Sheetal Angural refuting the rumours on Sunday notified that the latter is in Delhi for business and would soon be back to Jalandhar.  

"It was a conflict of interest and misuse of power," the chief minister alleged.
