A team of women police personnel ‘welcomed’ Prajwal Revanna upon his arrival here, as they were deputed to execute a warrant and take him to the CID office for interrogation.

Before reaching Bengaluru from Munich, the Hassan MP had made a last attempt to avoid arrest and had moved the court seeking bail. Prajwal faces three sexual abuse cases, while his mother has sought anticipatory bail in an alleged kidnapping case.

According to sources in the Special Investigation Team, the 33-year-old grandson of Janata Dal (Supremo) HD Deve Gowda is expected to land in Bengaluru on Friday.

Prajwal Revanna's mother, Bhavani Revanna, has taken legal action by filing an anticipatory bail plea in connection with a kidnapping case. This move comes amidst ongoing legal proceedings surrounding her husband, HD Revanna, who was previously arrested in the same case.

Prajwal reportedly departed for Germany on April 27, the day following the polls in Hassan, and remains elusive.

Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda has issued a stern warning to his grandson Prajwal Revanna, who is accused of rape. Gowda has demanded that Prajwal return to India and surrender to the police, or face severe consequences.

Interpol has issued a blue corner notice against Prajwal, who remains at large. The situation escalated after numerous explicit videos allegedly showing Prajwal sexually assaulting women were made public.

"There are several people connected to this (sexual abuse cases), I don't want to take anyone's names. Kumaraswamy has said that for those who are involved in this matter, action should be taken against all of them, and the affected women should get justice and compensation." 

"What is stopping the PM from having the diplomatic passport to Prajwal Revanna cancelled? How and why was he allowed to flee the country like Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi, and Mehul Choksi were?" the Congress leader asked. 

It said a Special Investigation Team (SIT) committee has been formed to probe the matter thoroughly. Notably, there is a commendable presence of female officers entrusted with conducting investigations and ensuring sensitivity and empathy in handling such cases, it added.

JD(S) MLA HD Revanna, whose son Prajwal is facing sexual abuse allegations, was taken into custody on Saturday, police said.

In yet another horrific allegation, a former member of Hassan Zilla Panchayat (ZP) has accused incumbent JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna of raping her multiple times over three years and videographing the alleged crime.
