The incident has drawn attention due to its resemblance to a more significant event in March 2022, when a BrahMos missile was accidentally fired from India into Pakistan.

The integrated tri-service firepower and manoeuvre exercise was held for about 50 minutes at the Pokhran field firing range where India showcased the prowess of its indigenous defence equipment.

In keeping with the exercise's theme 'Lightning Strike from the Sky', frontline fighter jets including the Rafale, Su-30 MKI, MiG-29, Mirage-2000 and Tejas attacked and destroyed simulated enemy targets on ground and in the air with deadly precision.
