The government further emphasises the dangers of unchecked immigration, particularly when a significant number of foreigners enter illegally.

The plea states, "The installation of the government of Haryana on 12.03.2024 is illegal and void". 

A division bench presided by Chief Justice TS Sivagnanam asked whether the petitioner is an elected representative like an MLA or a panchayat pradhan or a resident of Sandeshkhali or whether the person visited the affected place, saying that only attaching copies of newspaper reports with the petition will not be enough.

The plea filed by lawyer Alakh Alok Srivastava also seeks compensation for victims of the Sandeshkhali violence and action against officials of the West Bengal Police for alleged dereliction of duty.
