Sharma said Gehlot had handed over a pen drive to him with audio recordings of Congress leader Bhanwarlal Sharma, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, among others, and asked him to release it to the media.

Former Telangana Intelligence Bureau chief T Prabhakar Rao, the main accused in the case, is currently in the United States and is expected to return to the city ‘anytime this week.’

On March 23, two additional superintendents of police, who were accused of colluding with suspended DSP of the SIB D Praneeth Rao, were arrested. Praneeth Rao was accused of erasing the intelligence information from various electronic gadgets as well as phone tapping during the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi government.

According to reports, Ravi Paul, a technical consultant with the state intelligence bureau under the then BRS government, had allegedly helped import and set up phone-tapping equipment near the residence of Mr Reddy to listen in on his conversations.
