Clad in black, the women cycled nearly 20 kilometres from Sekmai, a village on the Imphal Valley's fringe, to Kangla, the historic seat of power.

The re-polling conducted in the Outer Manipur Lok Sabha seat witnessed a significant voter turnout of 81.16 percent across six polling stations. This exercise was deemed necessary after the Election Commission of India declared the previous polls at these stations as void.
