Patna ranked second in India for pollution, with an AQI of 316, categorised as'very poor'. Greater Noida, UP, claimed the top spot with an AQI of 346, as per the 4 p.m. bulletin from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

At least three persons died in a fire that broke out in a hotel close to the Patna junction railway station on Thursday, a senior official said.

Another person accompanying him, Munmun Kumar, was injured in the firing, police said.

Kumar Alankrit, a native of Patna in Bihar, had just picked up his dosa from the counter and was about to sit at his usual spot, which, unfortunately, was the blast site minutes later.
