The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is making moves to reinvigorate cricket ties with India by proposing a T20I bilateral series at a neutral venue in 2025. This initiative comes from PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who plans to discuss the proposal with BCCI Secretary Jay Shah during the ICC annual conference in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from July 19-22.

In their opening match of the Women’s Asia Cup, the defending champions India showcased their dominance by securing a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over Pakistan on July 19 in Dambulla. This triumph not only marked a strong start to their title defence but also set a high standard for the rest of the tournament.

“I think with the bowling, conditions suited our bowlers. But in batting we made few mistakes in the matches against the USA and India. When you lose wickets, the pressure is on you,” said Babar in the post-match presentation ceremony.

Pakistan cricketers face the risk of having their central contracts reviewed and their salaries potentially reduced by the PCB following their early exit from the T20 World Cup

Scheduled for early March, the delegation's itinerary includes visits to Lahore and Rawalpindi, the proposed venues for the T20I matches.
