The Election Commission of India has declared the results for all Lok Sabha constituencies, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) securing 240 out of 543 seats and the Congress winning 99.

Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar administered the oath in his chamber in Parliament House. Leader of the House Piyush Goyal was also present on the occasion.

President Arif Alvi will administer the oath to Shehbaz Sharif in a ceremony held at the President’s residence in the afternoon.

"You have created history. You are the first person to have taken oath in the new building of Parliament," Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar told Sandhu.

The total strength of the cabinet has now gone up to 31, including CM Yadav and two deputy chief ministers Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda.

Newly elected members of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly on Wednesday took oath on the first day of the two-day Assembly session.
