The Supreme Court is set to address a plea requesting the postponement of the NEET-PG 2024 examination, scheduled for August 11. The top court has agreed to hear this request tomorrow after it was urgently presented by the petitioner's counsel, Anas Tanvir, before Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud.

AFA stated, "It appears that a confidential letter from NBEMS has been leaked in public, containing information about the exam shift and the number of students taking the exam. If a confidential letter can be leaked, can we be confident about the security of the NEET PG paper?".

The state’s move came a day after the Supreme Court said there would be no re-test for NEET.

The BJP accused Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday of contributing to a lack of trust in India's examination system after the NEET-UG paper leak at several locations.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding the NEET examination 2024. Pradhan accused both leaders of shedding "crocodile tears" over the alleged irregularities in the exam.

The Supreme Court will hear a series of petitions concerning alleged paper leakage and malpractices in the NEET-UG 2024 exam on July 18. This exam, held on May 5, is crucial for admissions into medical and dental programs across India. The case will be reviewed by a bench comprising Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Justice JB Pardiwala, and Justice Manoj Misra.

The Supreme Court has recently issued a notice regarding new petitions from the National Testing Agency, or NTA, concerning the NEET-UG exam. These petitions aim to transfer ongoing cases from the Rajasthan High Court related to allegations of a paper leak to the Supreme Court.

The significant increase in the number of top performers has raised concerns about the integrity of the exams, especially given that six of these top scorers came from the same test centre in Jhajjar, Haryana.

The NEET PG, originally set for June 23, was postponed due to concerns raised by the authorities, which led to last-minute confusion among the aspirants.
