The Supreme Court of India has sought expert opinion from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi regarding a contentious question in the NEET-UG 2024 examination. The issue arose when the National Testing Agency (NTA) awarded marks for two options on a multiple-choice question, leading to confusion and disputes among the students.

The Supreme Court has recently issued a notice regarding new petitions from the National Testing Agency, or NTA, concerning the NEET-UG exam. These petitions aim to transfer ongoing cases from the Rajasthan High Court related to allegations of a paper leak to the Supreme Court.

NTA has submitted an affidavit in the apex court where it also noted that distribution of marks is quite normal.

The first accused, Aman Singh, was arrested after obtaining information from Chintu and Mukesh, close associates of Sanjeev Mukhiya, the key conspirator of the case.

Sources said that the CBI team has arrested the accused Aman Singh from Bindu Apartment in Bapu Nagar under Saraidhela police station area of Dhanbad.
