"Had they declared it a national disaster, Himachal would have got funds from the centre to deal with the disaster like other states. But they did not want to give relief to the people here," she said.

The Union Home Ministry has approved financial assistance of Rs. 971.97 crores for Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat.
