Union Home Minister Amit Shah has committed to providing financial assistance to Mizoram for humanitarian aid and cyclone rehabilitation, as announced in an official statement on July 11. Shah spoke with Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma over the phone, ensuring that funds for refugee assistance would soon be released.

Tragically, Cyclone Remal's onslaught triggered numerous landslides in the region, claiming 28 lives in its wake.

The Mizoram government has ordered the closure of all offices and PSU units on Wednesday in view of the inclement weather warning issued by the IMD on Cyclone Remal.
