The agreement was formalised by Mizoram’s Home Minister, K. Sapdanga, and Assam’s Minister for Border Protection & Development, Atul Bora, during a high-level meeting at the State Guest House.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has committed to providing financial assistance to Mizoram for humanitarian aid and cyclone rehabilitation, as announced in an official statement on July 11.
