Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced a significant allocation of ₹1.52 lakh crore for the agriculture sector in the Union Budget 2024. This move is expected to boost rural demand, especially for automobiles like entry-level two-wheelers and tractors.

Amidst the ongoing farmers' protest, a significant event unfolded as the Kisan Mahapanchayat, organized by the Samyukt Kisam Morcha (SKM), took center stage at the Ramlila Maidan in Delhi.

In his address at a mega farmers' rally in Raipur, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reiterated the Modi government's unwavering support for farmers and rural development.

With farmers contributing nearly Rs. 31,139 crore in premiums, claims amounting to over Rs. 1,55,977 crore have been disbursed, translating to approximately Rs. 500 in claims for every Rs. 100 in premium.
