Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has made a significant commitment to the state's agricultural sector. At a recent farmers' association meeting in Chandigarh, Saini assured that the Haryana government will guarantee the purchase of all crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). This move is aimed at supporting farmers and ensuring fair compensation for their produce.

Gandhi had invited the farm leaders for a meeting in his office in the parliament. Initially the farmers were denied entry into the parliament complex. After the matter was highlighted the farm leaders were allowed inside where they held a detailed meeting with Gandhi.

The minimum support prices (MSPs) for both kharif and rabi seasons 2023–24 ensured a minimum return of 50 percent over the cost of production for all crops, according to the Reserve Bank's Annual Report.
