The CBI alleges that officers claimed the vehicle had no key and refused to drive them to safety. 

Among the loot were an AK series assault rifle, 'Ghaatak' rifles, self-loading rifles, MP-5 guns, pistols, bulletproof jackets, carbines, and hand grenades, totaling to significant firepower.

Reports indicate that police commandos across all five valley districts of Manipur set aside their weapons, demanding swift action against the Metei radical group, Arambai Tenggol. 

The police officer has been admitted to a hospital where his condition is stated to be stable.
