The Congress candidates won in the two Lok Sabha seats in the state by huge margins by defeating the NDA nominees.

In a recent announcement, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh disclosed that a state Cabinet sub-committee had uncovered 2,480 illegal immigrants in 2023. However, this campaign was abruptly halted due to the outbreak of violence on May 3 of the same year.

In Sikkim voters also exercised their franchise for the 32 Assembly seats.
