BJP's Manipur president A Sharda Devi said that she urged for immediate attention to bring permanent solution and tranquility to the state.

Congress leaders Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, representing the Meitei community, emerged victorious in the Inner Manipur constituency, while Alfred Kan-Ngam Arthur, a Naga, secured the Outer Manipur seat. 

The Congress candidates won in the two Lok Sabha seats in the state by huge margins by defeating the NDA nominees.
