Ahead of the Legislative Assembly elections in Maharashtra, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a series of attacks on the opposition alliance, Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), and the Congress party. Addressing a BJP conclave in Pune, Shah referred to the MVA as the "Aurangzeb fan club," alleging that Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray leads this group.

The Congress party in Maharashtra is currently holding a crucial brainstorming session at Garware Club in Mumbai ahead of the upcoming Assembly polls. Key figures in attendance include Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal, Maharashtra in-charge Ramesh Chennithala, Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole, and prominent leaders like Balasaheb Thorat, Vijay Wadettiwar, Leader of Opposition Prithviraj Chavan, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Mukul Wasnik, and Avinash Pandey.

In a significant development for the Naxal-affected Gadchiroli district, the foundation stone for a Rs 10,000 crore integrated steel plant was laid on Wednesday. The event took place in the presence of key officials, including Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, along with industry minister Uday Samant and food and drug administration minister Dharmaraj Baba Atram.
