A fresh petition has been filed in the Supreme Court in response to the recent developments related to the Hindenburg report. The petitioner has raised concerns about the alleged refusal by the Supreme Court Registrar to register his application and has requested the court to intervene and direct the registry to register his miscellaneous application.

The recent allegations against SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Buch and her husband by the US short seller Hindenburg Research have sparked significant controversy in India.

The opposition party also said the "seeming complicity of the highest officials of the land" can only be resolved by setting up a Joint Parliamentary Committee to investigate the full scope of the "scam".
