The BJP reiterated its demand for Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's resignation following the High Court's decision to uphold his CBI arrest in the alleged excise policy scam. BJP claims the AAP government is paralyzed and corrupt, while AAP argues the case was not decided on its merits, maintaining Kejriwal's innocence.

Barricades have been put up and paramilitary personnel deployed at the site to stop the protesters, the officer said.

"The AAP workers across the country will hold massive ‘dharna’ against the BJP for misuse of investigation agencies and Arvind Kejriwal's arrest on Saturday," AAP national general secretary (organisation) Sandeep Pathak.

The AAP government in Delhi seeks Supreme Court approval to appoint pro-tem members to the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) due to vacancies and administrative delays caused by the Model Code of Conduct and CM Kejriwal's arrest.

The march was led by AAP youth leader Vandana Singh.

Kejriwal, who is also the AAP national convener, was arrested last month by the Enforcement Directorate in an excise policy-linked money laundering case. He was sent to judicial custody till April 15.  

AAP MLAs, MPs, office bearers, alongside party workers and supporters, are expected to participate in this protest.

The recent developments surrounding Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's interrogation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) have brought forth significant revelations. During his questioning, Kejriwal reportedly stated that Vijay Nair, an accused in an alleged liquor scam, did not report to him but to Ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj.

Akhilesh Yadav, arrived Delhi for the INDIA Bloc rally at Ramlila ground, told reporters at the airport, the "BJP is worried that it is going (out of power). While we (opposition leaders) are coming to Delhi today, the PM is going out of Delhi. This shows who is going out (of power)".

Dubbed the 'Loktantra Bachao' (Save Democracy) rally, the event is scheduled to take place at Ramlila Maidan in the national capital.
