The four MLAs are expected to join the BJP and Congress, with Ramkaran Kala and Devendra Babli already pictured together. The JJP has been plagued by internal divisions, with another MLA, Ramkumar Gauram, having opposed the party for some time.

"If the Congress wants to take on the BJP, they should not look at win or loss. If they put up any candidate which is acceptable, we will support them. The candidate can be any prominent personality or eminent person, including from the sports field and he can be a joint candidate of the opposition. But if the Congress does not want to put up its candidate when polls are held for the Rajya Sabha seat, it would indicate that "there is match-fixing between Congress and BJP", Chautala said.

In 2019, the Jannayak Janta Party, which had campaigned against the BJP, after the results extended its support to it and formed a government in the state in alliance. 

Former Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, responded to the demand for a floor test by Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) supremo, Dushyant Chautala, with confidence, stating that he doesn't foresee a no-confidence motion happening anytime soon.

"It is evident that the BJP govt in Haryana no longer commands a majority," former Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said in his letter to the governor on Wednesday. 

Earlier on Monday, JJP's Haryana unit chief Nishan Singh, who quit the party recently, had joined the Congress. Speaking on the occasion in Panchkula, Chief Minister Saini welcomed the three leaders into BJP fold. 

Both Birender Singh and Brijendra Singh the outgoing Hisar MP left the BJP recently and joined the Congress. 

Kamboj sent his resignation to Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) president Ajay Singh Chautala. 

JJP has fielded former MLA Rao Bahadur Singh from Bhiwani-Mahendragarh, the party said in a statement. 

It was expected that the motion would fall as the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party-Jannayak Janta Party alliance has 51 MLAs and support of at least six Independents and one Haryana Lokhit Party MLA in the 90-member House.
