Four separate cases have been registered against Revanna’s 33-year-old son Prajwal Revanna, all of which are being investigated by a SIT.

Prajwal Revanna's mother, Bhavani Revanna, has taken legal action by filing an anticipatory bail plea in connection with a kidnapping case. This move comes amidst ongoing legal proceedings surrounding her husband, HD Revanna, who was previously arrested in the same case.

Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda has issued a stern warning to his grandson Prajwal Revanna, who is accused of rape. Gowda has demanded that Prajwal return to India and surrender to the police, or face severe consequences.

JD(S) leader HD Revanna, MLA from Holenarasipura, was released from Parappana Agrahara Jail on conditional bail in a kidnapping case related to the 'obscene video' controversy. Granted bail by a special court, Revanna was required to furnish a Rs 5 lakh bond.

In yet another horrific allegation, a former member of Hassan Zilla Panchayat (ZP) has accused incumbent JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna of raping her multiple times over three years and videographing the alleged crime.

Reports suggest that Revanna had obtained a gag order against as many as 86 media outlets and three individuals from speaking up at all on the explicit videos in his possession, some of which date back to June 2023.

Under a reciprocal agreement signed in 2011, holders of Indian diplomatic passports are not required to obtain a visa for visits to Germany, as long as their stay does not exceed 90 days.  India has similar agreements with countries such as Italy, France, Afghanistan, Iran, among 90 others. Under these agreements, not only diplomatic passport holders but also those with service and official passports can benefit from operational visa exemptions.

The former driver of accused Prajwal Revanna, who had confessed that he had given the pen drive with the videos of the JD(S) leader sexually abusing women to BJP leader Devaraje Gowda, has disappeared following a SIT notice.

The alleged involvement of JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna in an "obscene videos" case has sparked outrage, with the National Commission for Women demanding swift action from authorities.

The opposition party also questioned BJP's alliance with the JD(S) when a BJP leader had written to the party's Karnataka unit president, exposing the presence of a pen drive full of "sleaze videos of Prajwal Revanna". 

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced the formation of a Special Investigative Team (SIT) to look into complaints of alleged sexual abuse against Revanna, The controversy deepened as reports surfaced suggesting that Revanna had fled the country to Germany.
