The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has taken a significant step to support Indian athletes at the Paris Olympics 2024. On Sunday, BCCI secretary Jay Shah announced that the board will provide Rs 8.5 crores to the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) for the campaign. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is making moves to reinvigorate cricket ties with India by proposing a T20I bilateral series at a neutral venue in 2025. "He (Rohit) has the ability, as I said, we won 10 games in the ODI World Cup. We didn't win the final, but it's part and parcel of the game. Whoever plays better, wins," Shah expressed.

Shah's extension was proposed by the Sri Lanka Cricket president Shammi Silva for the second time and the nomination was unanimously backed by all the members of the ACC at its annual general meeting in Bali.
