Those behind the well-coordinated terror attacks across the union territory and erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir are only strategically avoiding any major terror incident in the mainland Kashmir valley.

The peaceful region of Jammu has recently experienced a significant surge in terrorist activity, with districts such as Akhnoor, Doda, Kathua, Reasi, Rajouri, and Udhampur bearing the brunt of escalating violence throughout 2024. 

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced on Saturday that security forces will implement the "Kashmir model" to prevent the resurgence of terrorism in the Jammu region.

Around 500 Para Special Forces commandos have been deployed to track down the 50-55 terrorists who have entered the area. 

According to a statement issued by the temple trust, visitors will now be required to undergo thorough security check-ups and identity verification by the temple authorities. 

General Chauhan’s visit follows a series of deadly attacks that have left 12 people dead, including Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Jawan and nine pilgrims.
