Speaking at the 78th Independence Day celebration at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar, LG Sinha emphasised that the Union Territory administration and security forces are dedicated to stopping any attempts by neighbouring countries to rekindle terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.

Over 10,000 people joined the march, which began at the Botanical Garden by the Dal Lake.

Speaking at the J&K Film Conclave at the International Convention Centre in Srinagar, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar praised the new initiatives, especially  "the single window” system introduced by the J&K administration.
