The Congress party has recently alleged receiving fresh notices from the income-tax department, demanding a substantial amount totaling Rs 1,823.08 crore. They have accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of engaging in what they term as "tax terrorism," and have demanded that a charge of Rs 4,617.58 crore be levied against the BJP for purported violations of income-tax laws.
