The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have intensified their operations against terrorist infrastructure and operatives in the Gaza Strip. They continue to conduct targeted raids and intelligence-based operations in Rafah, a key area of activity for terrorists.

According to the Hostages Forum, a grassroots group representing the hostages' relatives, all four of the men proclaimed deceased Monday night — Nadav Popplewell, Amiram Cooper, Yoram Metzger, and Haim Peri — were kidnapped and carried into Gaza while still alive.

The leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) have called on Hamas to accept Israel's proposal to end the ongoing war in Gaza. This appeal comes after the comprehensive deal was outlined by US President Joe Biden.

The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has condemned an Israeli airstrike in Rafah, Gaza, that resulted in the deaths of numerous civilians. Guterres emphasised the urgent need to stop the violence, stating that there is no safe place in Gaza and expressing his horror at the tragic loss of innocent lives.

UN human rights chief Volker Turk decried "horrific" images that "point to no apparent change in the methods and means of warfare used by Israel that have already led to so many civilian deaths".
