The Haryana government on Tuesday announced that mobile internet services and bulk SMS will remain suspended at certain places in Ambala district from February 28 to February 29 in view of the ongoing farmers' "Delhi Chalo" agitation.

The move comes amidst the planned 'Delhi Chalo' march by over 200 farmers' unions, organized by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha.

The government would unveil a comprehensive digital literacy programme to ensure that every household, regardless of its economic status or location, would be able to benefit from the rapid digital adoption of opportunities that are arising, the governor said.
