The report indicates a gradual increase in the number of board seats held by women across India Inc. In 2023, women held 18.3% of board seats, up from 13.8% in 2018 and 17.1% in 2021. Despite the increase, India's representation of women in boardrooms remains lower than the global average of 23.3% in 2023.

Over the last few decades, women have emerged as key architects of progress and prosperity worldwide, showcasing their resilience and prowess in various fields. Recognizing the immense potential of women, governments have introduced several schemes aimed at addressing the persistent challenges they face.

"This reduction in LPG cylinder prices by ₹100 aligns with our 'ease of living' policy, aimed at ensuring a better and more sustainable lifestyle for every individual," PM Modi stated, emphasizing the holistic approach towards empowering women and promoting an environment conducive to their well-being. In the first two months of 2024 alone, $100 million in funding has been raised by women-led startups. Among the 2,300 funded women-led startups, 13.4% have progressed to the Series A stage, and 3% have advanced to the Series C stage or beyond.
