Indian men's and women's teams are both placed second in the maiden Hockey 5s rankings issued recently by the world body (FIH).

Elena Norman, the outgoing CEO of Hockey India (HI), has announced her resignation after 13 years in the position, citing a "suffocating" work environment as a primary reason for her departure. While Hockey India did not specify the reasons for Norman's decision in its official statement, she spoke out about the challenges she faced during her tenure.

Schopman's contract was to end in August this year after the Paris Olympics but following her recent critical comments, it was expected that she won't continue.
