India will import nearly 1,000 megawatts of electricity from Nepal, Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar announced on Monday following comprehensive discussions with his Nepalese counterpart, Arzu Rana Deuba.

Since 1994, India has gifted a total of 1,009 ambulances and 300 school buses to Nepal, including those provided on Sunday.
