Khan said he was under investigation by many institutions and he would give time to the police after the completion of his earlier inquiries.

On July 15, Pakistan's political landscape was rocked by a controversial announcement from Information Minister Attaullah Tarar. The government revealed plans to ban the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, led by the jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Information Minister Attaullah Tarar confirmed the federal government's decision to initiate the ban, citing credible evidence against the party.
