The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has once again achieved a remarkable feat by securing the top spot in the latest National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings.

Researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras have developed the first India-specific artificial intelligence (AI) model to precisely determine the age of a foetus in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy.

"AI and social impact are close to my heart, and it's my honor to contribute to my alma mater. I strongly advocate for a dedicated Data Science and AI school focusing on foundational and applied research in these areas," commented Sunil Wadhwani.

The research scholars will pioneer solutions through cutting-edge research in areas of strategic importance to Australia and India encompassing clean energy, critical technologies, sustainability, climate change, healthcare technologies and more, contributing to the socio-economic goals of both nations at a global level
