Following the tragic deaths of three students at a coaching institute in Old Rajinder Nagar due to severe waterlogging, Delhi Minister Atishi addressed the issue on Wednesday. She shared that the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) had received an interim inquiry report.

Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh provided detailed data, revealing that a total of 1,195 officers from Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) were inducted into these prestigious services between 2018 and 2022.

So far, at least 15 have been arrested in the case while the authorities claim that Bublani and the others absconding will soon be arrested. 

Federal agency detained the 2003-batch officer from the Economic Offences Wing (EOW)/Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) office in Raipur.

"On receipt of centre change options from the willing candidates through any of the above modes, they will be allocated to the venues of their chosen centres and accordingly, a message confirming the change of centres shall be sent to each such candidate on his/her registered mobile number," it added.

According to the reports, senior UP Cadre IAS officer Navneet Sehgal (Retd IAS: 1988: UP) has been chosen to succeed A Surya Prakash, who served till February 2020. Sehgal retired in July 2023.
