In his letter to the Finance Minister, Gadkari expressed the concerns of the Nagpur Division Life Insurance Corporation Employees Union. The union had submitted a memorandum highlighting the issues faced by the insurance industry.

In a series of posts on social media platform X, the Finance Ministry highlighted the benefits of the GST regime on its seventh anniversary. "With reduced tax rates on household goods after GST implementation, #7yearsofGST has brought happiness and relief to every home through lower GST on household appliances and mobile phones," the Ministry stated.

The GST Council at its 53rd meeting decided to roll out pan-India Aadhaar-based biometric authentication to check fake invoicing used to fraudulently claim input tax credit (ITC) by unscrupulous elements, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said.
