Goa stands out as India's wealthiest state, boasting a per capita income of approximately Rs 6.75 lakh (over $8,000), nearly three times higher than the national average. Election officials in Goa have confiscated liquor, drugs, precious metals, and cash valued at over Rs 17 crore as part of election preparations, according to Goa Chief Electoral Officer Ramesh Verma.
