Uttar Pradesh, now totaling 75 GI-tagged products, maintains its lead in India, with six new additions, while Tamil Nadu follows with 58 GI products.

Officially conferred on March 30 by the Government of India's intellectual property office, the Miraj Musical Instruments Cluster and the Soultune Musical Instrument Producer firm now proudly bear the GI tag for their sitars and tanpuras respectively.

Kathiya wheat, also known as Durum wheat is gluten-free nature and resilience to harsh climatic conditions, requiring minimal water for cultivation. With the confirmation of the GI tag on Kathiya, its brand value will increase and will help the farmers of Bundelkhand region prosper.
