US Secretary of State Antony Blinken ended his ninth visit to the Middle East without a breakthrough for a Gaza ceasefire, yet he warned Tuesday that "time is of the essence" despite ongoing challenges between Hamas and Israel.

Negotiations aimed at establishing a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel in the Gaza Strip are set to resume in Cairo on Wednesday. The upcoming talks will involve delegations from the three main mediators—Egypt, Qatar, and the United States—as well as representatives from Israel.

India reiterated its appeal for an immediate and full ceasefire in the Gaza Strip at the United Nations and demanded the unconditional release of the hostages.
