The peaceful rallies, organisation by the Zo Re-Unification Organisation (Zoro), resonated across Zokhawthar and Vaphai villages, nestled on the Mizoram-Myanmar border.

Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, speaking at a program in Phek district on Friday, disclosed that the state cabinet reached this decision on February 8.

As the Ministry of External Affairs is currently in the process of scrapping it, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has recommended the immediate suspension of FMR, Shah said.
