PTI has partnered with Meta's Third Party Fact-Checking Partnership (3PFC) program to combat misinformation on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. The partnership aims to boost fact-checking during the Lok Sabha elections, strengthening PTI Fact Check's influence and fostering user trust in India's online space.

The Supreme Court, on March 21, stayed the Centre's notification on setting up a fact-checking unit under the Press Information Bureau (PIB) to identify fake news about the Union government.
