Now an abandoned structure, the Manipur Board-affiliated St. Peter’s School had more than 800 students till Class 10 pre-May 3, 2023.

As per the report, over 60,000 people were displaced as a result of the clashes in Manipur between May and November.

Family members of 31 missing individuals from the crisis have expressed their intent to raise the issue with the Union Home Minister during his visit, urging action to trace the missing persons.

In a recent development, a Delhi court has discharged 11 accused individuals in connection with a 2020 northeast Delhi riots case. Additional Sessions Judge Pulastya Pramachala presided over the case and stated that there was no substantial evidence to suggest the accused had committed the alleged offences.

“The number of students and examination centres has decreased this year as compared to last year due to the prevailing law and order situation,” COHSEM Chairman T Ojit Singh said.
