PM Modi accused opposition parties of collaborating with "jihadis" for "vote jihad," alleging they aim to reverse progress by reinstating Article 370 and repealing the Citizenship Amendment Act. He criticised their stance on reservation and claimed Congress obstructed BrahMos missile sales, advocating for self-reliance in defense.

Speaking at an election rally in Dhaniakhali, West Bengal's Hooghly district, Banerjee directly challenged incumbent BJP MP and candidate Locket Chatterjee to confront him with their performance reports on actual development work in the constituency. 

Meanwhile, BJP (Tripura) state president Rajib Bhattacharjee and party general secretary Amit Rakshit are deputed for Bolpur and Sreerampur Lok Sabha constituencies to oversee the party's election campaign.

He cited instances of objectionable and detestable statements of Congress leaders on the valour of armed forces and urged the voters to give them befitting replies for their shameless remarks.

At a Lok Sabha election rally in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, PM Modi criticised the Samajwadi Party and the Congress, alleging that they are participating in the elections with the aim of serving the interests of their families and securing votes from their respective vote banks.

In a tightly packed campaign schedule, PM Modi kicks off with a rally in Amroha on April 19, while Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav hold a joint rally. On April 22, Modi targets Hathras and Aligarh. April 25 sees Modi's rallies in Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, Bareilly, Aonla, and Shahjahanpur, followed by a Bareilly roadshow on April 26.

In Nagaland, where a three-cornered contest is expected, Chief Electoral Officer Vyasan R issued a notification, prohibiting any public meetings or processions related to the elections after 4 PM on Wednesday.

Home Minister Amit Shah urged voters in Jaipur to "exercise their franchise in the morning hours before the temperature rises," emphasising that "the votes given to Manju Sharma and the Lotus will ensure Narendra Modi becomes the Prime Minister again."
